Privacy

Nothing directly. There is no account to create, no form to fill in and no list to join. I do not set cookies, and this site stores nothing in your browser to identify you or to follow you from one visit to the next.

If you email me, then I have your email address and whatever you chose to write in it, and I keep it the way I keep the rest of my mail. I do not add it to anything, and I do not pass it on.

The site is built to use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and counts pages rather than people. The script loads only once I have pasted my own measurement token into the site configuration, and while that setting is empty no analytics request is made at all.

When it is running it reports aggregate figures: which pages were viewed, what referred the visit, roughly what country it came from, and how quickly the page loaded. It sets no cookie, it does not fingerprint your browser, and it does not build a profile that follows you to another site. Cloudflare processes that data as my provider and publishes its own privacy documentation.

The applications inside the frames on this site are mine, but they are not served from this domain. They are hosted on vercel.app, and a frame loads only once you scroll to it, so the request happens because you went there and it is undone when you scroll away. While one is loading, your browser is talking to Vercel directly, and Vercel sees that request the way any web host sees a request.

Several of those applications send the text you type into them to a language model provider so that they can answer, and each one describes that on its own page. Nothing you type into a frame is sent to this site, and I do not see it.

If you would rather not load them, they do not mount on narrow screens or when your browser asks for reduced data, and a screenshot stands in instead.

The video behind my name is served by youtube-nocookie.com, which is Google’s privacy-reduced player. It is a third party with its own privacy policy, and loading it means your browser contacts Google rather than me. The player is muted and carries no controls, and it does not load at all on a phone or when your browser asks for reduced motion, where a still frame stands in.

Type on this site is Instrument Sans, requested from Google Fonts, so opening any page here contacts fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google states that it sets no cookies for those requests, though the requests themselves carry your address the way every web request does.

The site itself is a set of static files sitting on a web host, and that host keeps the ordinary server logs any host keeps. I do not read them for anything beyond checking that the site is up.

Every link out of here goes somewhere I do not run, including LinkedIn and the hosts of the applications. What those sites collect is described in their own policies and not in mine.
